Shutter Speed

Shutter speed affects both how much light comes in and the movement. Shutter speed if represented in fractions. The modes on the camera that allow for shutter manipulation are shutter and manual. the difference between them both is manual allows you to change everything yourself. Shutter allows you only to change the ISO and shutter speed with the F-Stop changing itself. Shutter speed will be needed for example, if your out side in the bright sun you can make the quickest so you wont take in to much light and so your picture will be clear.

ISO

The first photo i took with flash and made the lights not look to bright. The second one i use ISO 50 and it came out really dark and the third I used ISO 5000 and it came out pretty bright. You can use these different ISO numbers depending on where your at, like in the bright sun you can use ISO 50.

Light Metering

I took a picture of my partner Sergio with metering and it came out really dark but the screen was still showing. The camera picked up the light from the computer and didn't make light for anything else. The other picture i took the screen came out really bright because anything brighter than Sergio came out really bright.

I chose to have the Air Jordan one and have my arms as the laces to show that I have love for my friends and family as well as my girlfriend. I was trying to express my love for ones I care for and would love to spend my life with. I even love you Miss Cook. I was trying to capture a loving and cool mood.
I placed my arms as the laces to show that I hold on tight to people and don’t let go. My strong focal area was the arms as the laces to show that I hold on tight like laces. My focal area is strong because it shows my feelings. My composition is balanced because I have things in right places except for my head because it don’t look to pleasing. My picture looks unifiedbut then doesn’t look unified. The arms look pretty good but the head doesn’t.
I seriously think I deserve a passing grade but not that good. It was difficult to do the arms and find a place for my head. I could have made my self more into the shoe. I would change the placement of my head and make my hanging arm hug the shoe. But I think I did well enough.

The Aesthetic Experience

It was clear and invisible and easy to see through. It then was dark and hard to see. It made me think of the way people change in life and how they get out of bad times. It was a cool experience to see clear water go from invisible to dark water in different colors.

In preparation for our PERSONAL METAPHOR project we brushed up our skills combining objects together. Using layer masks and the clone stamp we blended this dog and bird together.

We had to create a cover for graduation. We had to use a picture we took and we can use one thing from the Internet.

For Valentines day we turned a frogs into chocolate.

I thought this project was awesome. It was a fun project and I would like to do something else similiar to it in the future.

I learned how to use the smudge tool and make the frog look really good and chocolaty.

In these exercises we learned how to create shadows and reflections to help us create more realistic Artwork. A new tool we learned was layer masks.
The things we learned here can help me in the future by letting me be able to know how to use it professionaly, and I wont struggle to try and use it because I already know how.

In this project we used one of our frame photographs to practice using Photoshop to create specific effects.

Balance with Frames

In this project we were goven a frame. We had to use it in our composition. We also had to be in our photo, but not in the center.

It was to be in black and white, and we needed to create a sense of visual balance.
I created balance in the second photo by using the shadow i created and by using the window behind me.

Random Object

We were each assigned a random object to photograph. We could choose to have it in color or black & white. We were to focus on "The Three C's".

According to my peers, one thing I did well was the good use of leading lines.

And one thing they suggested I work on was I could have done more with the picture.

I agree with what they said because i could have done more with it and i did use leading lines very well.

My Favorite Project From Last Semester

The Title of this photo is called Paint. We had to turn it black and white and had to choose spots to keep the original color. This is my favorite project because it has to do with basketball and my shoes look cool! I could have croped the photo more on the left side of the photo. Other than that i think i did very well.
